Introduction

Interpersonal skills are important when people interact with other people. This obviously happens from a very young age. As we grow up, if all goes well, we get more skilled at communicating our needs, thoughts and wants and in turn become aware of how our behaviour impacts on others.

Interpersonal skills looked at here include assertiveness, decision-making, resolving conflicts, working in teams and team-building and accepting responsibilities.
